My Impetus

SR
I have a few particular biases. First, I am a Christian AND a Mormon, this should be self explanatory too those who understand the underlying implication. Second, I served in the US Army in Iraq during OIF (2003-2004). I learned to love the Iraqi people, their culture, their language, traditions, customs, and most of all, I just loved learning and being associated with the new and different way of being. Third, I have a BA in International Politics with a minor in Russian Studies. I lived in Russia from 1994-1996 and I feel much the same about Russia and its culture as I do about Iraq. My intent in creating this blog is to produce a body of my own original work based on current events in world affairs. The work I produce may not reflect my own opinion on an issue, but I believe it is important for me, as an amateur writer, to be capable of arguing any angle on any side of an issue, so as to understand the issue in its entirety. As the saying goes, “One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.” Just for the enjoyment of writing, I will touch on some of my musings, opinions, theories, etc., only in an effort to lay my thoughts on paper…so to speak.
